San Diego Jewish Academy is often referred to by parents as a “home away from home.” The sense of community is ever-present in the classroom, on the playground, and in all campus-wide events--from weekly Shabbat to other celebrations throughout the year.
Children from the Early Childhood Center, Lower School and Upper School often interact, whether it be for the homecoming parade, Purim activities, or special events. It’s common to see high school students volunteering in the preschool, varsity players mentoring middle school athletes, and upper school students leading Passover services for middle school classes.
Community experiences and bonds are an integral part of the SDJA experience. SDJA is about more than just excellent education. It’s a gathering place – for students, teachers, staff, parents and even grandparents!
